Looking into Cee Lo Green, I've realised how popular the song 'F***/Forget You' is, it's currently being played in bars, at parties etc. It's a well known and enjoyed pop song which attracts a wide range of audiences. Cee Lo's F***/Forget you' is an inspirational song, the video is extremely lively including the use of camera shots and angles. The costume and lyrics also interest me.
Pop Genre
Pop music is a genre of music which originated in its modern form in the 1950s, deriving from popular rock and roll. The terms popular music and pop music are often used interchangeably, even though the former is a description of music which is popular (and can include any style), whilst the latter is a specific genre containing qualities of mass appeal.
So-called "pure pop" music, such as power pop, features all these elements, utilising electric guitars, drums and bass for instrumentation; in the case of such music, the main goal is usually that of being pleasurable to listen to, rather than having much artistic depth.
So therefore I've chosen this genre as it uses a variety of different songs and attracts a wide range of audiences. I also personally prefer pop music than any other genre.
